Malnutrition in children with food allergies in the UK

A paper by Meyer and colleagues published online in JHND reports that the removal of major food groups may predispose children to an inadequate nutrient intake. A study of  97 children in the UK found that the elimination of three or more food groups from the diet resulted in reduced weight for age.  Children with food allergies were more likely to be underweight than the general UK population.
