How not to approach an interview for dietetics

I stumbled across this by accident this morning and it made me smile. I’ve done a lot of dietetic student interviews over the years and this really could be a hybrid of all the worst elements.

Thank you frugaldietitian!

    1. My advice would be to make sure you have explored options for getting a short placement in a dietetic setting so that you really know what dietitians do. Be aware of the importance of professionalism and what would be expected of a health professional. Give clear examples of things you have done that show you have those professional skills and the ability to communicate clearly and empathise with others.

  1. Thanks Simon, that’s very helpful. I just got a job as a dietetic assistant in the NHS, but unfortunately I won’t be starting before my dietetics post grad interview. I’m quite nervous, so trying to be as prepared as I can. Thanks again.
